LO3: Identify and repurpose content for use in the profile

In this assignment I will choose a piece of work I want to repurpose and adapt. The current medium identified will be explained in detail and outline the benefit to potential employers or universities. This assignment will focus on a short film along with a breakfast show. This assignment has only been made possible due to coverage in unit 3 where we had to create a radio advertisement. Short film: In order to add my short film on to my portfolio I originally needed to export it as a MOV file and exported it again to a MP4 file type. This then enabled me to upload the video the short film on to YouTube, so I could then add it on to my portfolio. By doing this it will show any future employers that I have the skills to plan, produce and edit a film. This shows employers the work which I am capable of, this then shows the professional quality of the work which I can potentially create for them, when being employed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3wJNGumIVc Breakfast Show: Ano...

LO2: Be able to scope and plan content for a personal media profile

A product which I created is a storyboard on paper for a short film. The storyboard I created shows a series of different events that happen in each scene of the film, including the shot types, camera movements, and an image of what the main scene will look like. To get this on to my computer it was scanned in and converted into a PDF file, when saved. This document is used to plan the production of my short film to show moderators and teachers the pre-production of my film. This took time and a lot of thought as I wanted to create characters and a storyline that could be relatable to my target audience, allowing viewers to connect with the film, resulting in them being drawn into the narrative of the film. I was able to produce a romantic comedy, which can be relatable to a lot of teens because it can happen to a lot of people in modern day times.   I created wireframes for a local breakfast radio show's website which is based in Doncaster, BDQ. I made seven different wireframes f...

Image
The purpose of a media profile is a document which is used when you are applying for jobs, it allows employers to see a summary about your life, experience and what skills and qualifications you have, to see if they are suitable for that specific job. In most cases, a cover letter will also be put alongside your CV/ media profile or media profile. A cover letter is used with a CV/ media profile as it can improve your chances of being employed as it provides employers with evidence of why you believe to be the best candidate for that job.
