LO1: Explain the purpose of a media profile
The purpose of a media profile is a document which is used when you are applying for jobs, it allows employers to see a summary about your life, experience and what skills and qualifications you have, to see if they are suitable for that specific job. In most cases, a cover letter will also be put alongside your CV/ media profile or media profile. A cover letter is used with a CV/ media profile as it can improve your chances of being employed as it provides employers with evidence of why you believe to be the best candidate for that job. A media profile can be used for any application; however, you do not need to use one if the employer specifies that you will need to complete an application form. Therefore, a CV/ media profile doesn't need to be attached to the application form.
