Unit 23: creating a media profile

This assignment will outline and show a clear understanding/ justification of why the proposed content is suitable for my personal media profile. There will be a discussion of the benefits and opportunities of the adaption along with any limitation that need to be considered. I will also consider formats and file types for the adaption. In the two years of my media course, I have created audio, visual, audio-visual as well as written work. I have had to repurpose a lot of this work such as my radio show from a WAV to an MP3 to make the file size smaller so it can easily be exported by email or on to my blogger.   In this assignment I will plan the creation of my media profile. I will identify who the proposed target audience is for my media profile and state the suitability of the profile for a variety of audiences. For each element identified I will explain how the can benefit me and the media profile when shown to potential employers/ universities.  This assignment mirrors very similar to unit 2 pre-production and planning where we looked at a variety of documents and how this could be laid out and impact the relevant target audience. A legal issue needed to consider when I was creating my short film was the copyright law. This is when someone creates their own original content, such as images or videos, they then own the rights to this content and has control who can or cant use is. Therefore when creating my own film I will need to make sure I use my own clips and make sure that my clips don't look similar from parts from other films, that I want to include in my film. For example, I will need to take my own clips, or even use copyright free clips off of websites such as Pexels. Pexels have assets that people can use for free.  When creating my radio show I needed to make sure that I stuck to the different media regulation rules which is created by Ofcom. The content which I produced bad to have no swearing/ violent/ sexual references, that could potentially offend anyone.
